Cityterminalen is located in the Stockholm city center and is the largest bus station in the city. Every day about 800 buses use Cityterminalen as their point of arrival and departure. From here, you can travel to all of Sweden as well as to a large part of Europe.
The largest bus terminal in Stockholm, Cityterminalen, is situated between Klarabergsviadukten and Kungsbron in the center of town. The bus terminal has two floors with 19 gates and acts as a hub for bus traffic both to and from the capital. Every day, approximately 800 buses arrive and depart from Cityterminalen. Most of the buses are for
long-distance travel and part of the regional transportation network, but many are chartered by schools and companies.
The first encounter with Stockholm
Cityterminalen serves as the first encounter with the Swedish capital for many travelers. Both Swedish and foreign tourists arrive at Cityterminalen, mainly from the four Stockholm airports. The main terminal hall has a staffed Customer Service, which can provide you with basic tourist information. Here you can also find various shops and cafés as well as safe deposit boxes, foreign exchange and toilets.
Close to the subway and trains
Next to Cityterminalen lies the Stockholm Central Station and T-centralen, the connecting point of the city's underground system. The other stations can easily be accessed via escalators and elevators. Several inner city buses stop outside Cityterminalen and the Central Station.
